Fil has a light touch on the management tiller which serves him well with both his team and his clients. He rarely loses his cool in trying situations and has a rare level of trust and patience. He tends to know the right thing to say to keep things moving forward in a productive direction without alienating or abandoning anyone.

Fil gets process. Not only does he get process, but he also has incredible breadth and depth of knowledge that spans across multiple IT competencies, including: process improvement, performance reporting, process automation and data centre operations. Fil is a great leader who empowers his team and ensures that they have the right tools to succeed.

Fil was a delight to work with. He is creative and innovative, as well as very knowledgeable. He was a part of a strategic transformation effort at Rogers. He was an excellent partner and worked hard to successfully deploy the initiative.

I had the opportunity to intern in the Technology Transformation Office (TTO) which Fil Gambatesa led as Senior Director at CIBC. Fil is a leader who would make every effort to engage with his team, providing his constant support and guidance. He is open-minded, encourages new ideas and has an approachable personality which created a positive work environment.
